Upcoming Adult Electives: Winter Edition

Sunday School for all ages will resume on September 11th! To help us with class and teacher assignments, registration forms for children who plan to attend are available in the sanctuary.

Foundations

Church Membership:

What does it mean to be a church member? How we view the church and our place in it will have a huge impact on the kind of church member we be-come, or whether we want to be one at all. While studying through I Am a Church Member by au-thor Thom Rainer, you will focus not on the expectations you should have for your church, but ra-ther on the expectations we should all have for ourselves as the church, as members of the body of Christ. From the publisher: “I Am a Church Member seeks to remedy the outbreak of inactive or barely committed church members. It addresses–without apology–what is expected of those who join a body of believers. When a person’s attitude is consistently biblical and healthy, matters of giving, serving, and so forth will fall into place more naturally and Rainer’s practical work unpacks what that should look like.” This 8-week series led by Tim Bland will begin Sunday, November 6th at 9:00 a.m. in the sanctuary.

Christianliving

Forgiveness:

What is it, exactly? And why is it so important? Join us for an eight-week study exploring what the Bible has to say about this essential element of Christian liv-ing. This class will be led by Pastor Scott and begins Sunday November 6th at 9:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.

healing hearts

My Hurting Heart:

We all experience a broken heart at some point in our lives. Sometimes we put it away and try to forget about it. Does it keep coming back to your mind? God wants to bring you close to Him and not just put it away but heal it. You will be able to cry out like David in Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me, God, and know my heart…” and allow Him to change your life and relationship with Him. This Bible study is limited to 5 women, to ensure ample opportunity for sharing and connection. If you are longing for a closer walk with God, this is a 10 week journey that we would encourage you to take. The study is not only to heal, but disciple women in God’s Word. To reserve your spot or for more information, please email Tarnya at ubc@ubcellsworth.org. Starting Tuesdays, 9/13th at 6:00PM in the Counseling Room.
